Meet The Bangladesh Skirts
The Bangladesh skirts are made from sustainable fabrics handwoven (zero carbon), by fair trade weavers (zero exploitation) in their own communities (zero migration for work) and shipped by sea (lowest carbon footprint).
Some of the fabrics are woven using yarn recycled from garment factory scraps (zero waste), dyed using indigo, coconut and seeds (zero chemicals).
I hand-make each one, utilizing the off cuttings for zero-waste poufs; and the colorful selvedge edge of the fabric for drawstrings.
