Bangladesh Bias Skirt
Skirt description: This skirt has a high, elasticized waist. It can also be worn lower on the hips. Cutting the skirt on the bias makes it hug the body, and flare out at the hem. It is machine washable, hang to dry.
Fabric: Handwoven in Bangladesh out of recycled fibers, this cotton fabric is dyed with natural dyes like coconuts and seeds. For more on how this fabric is manufactured, check out these blog posts by the manufacturer, Motif Handmade: here and here. I add lining to the colors that are lighter weight and therefore slightly sheer.
Sizing: The size chart reflects the measurements I use when drafting the patterns. However, many variables affect the fit of each garment, including personal preference. If you prefer less fullness in the skirt and tighter elastic, size down. Questions on sizing? Please don’t hesitate to ask me!
+I measure a S in my waist and a M in my hips.
+The Spice skirt is a size S in the long mini length.
+The Indigo skirt is a size S in the short knee length.
+The Seed Grey skirt is a size M in the short mini length.
Ordering process: These skirts are handmade from my original patterns. Please allow 3-6 weeks for delivery. Returns are difficult, because this item is made to order, however please contact me with any concerns once you receive.
