I remembered this morning, a recent dream I had. I was showing at fashion week, and the models I was using were the women I think about when I design.
They were specific women I know or have known, who are working really hard at life and making waves in their arenas. Those are the people who I want to equip.
What is your arena? Is it your office? Is it your kitchen? How can you equip yourself, physically, with what you put on in the morning? How can I equip you?
When we dress, we are making space for ourselves to BE. Before anything else asks for our attention, we give it to ourselves. It's a figurative and literal act that helps us care well for those around us.
But I'm not talking about dressing up. These days, I have about 15 minutes to pull myself together. A schmeer of tinted spf and a quick teeth-brush... I'm talking about dressing correctly.
Confidence is found when we wear the right clothes for our jobs, because then we are equipped to do our jobs well.
