The Ants Go Marching

Once upon a time, I was making a new cap. And I was loving where it was headed, but it wasn't quite right.

Think, Emily-Girl, think! AND THEN I HAD IT!

Add more ants.

And that's how she was born. Most things creative are trial and error. My caps very often evolve over weeks. I make them, let them sit, even take some pictures of them, let them sit, look at said pictures, decide what needs changed, edit, and then list them in the shop!

All of life is like that, no? You work and then you let 'it', whatever 'it' is, sit. And you jump around nervously, trying to make progress but progress isn't ready to be made.

It's such a painful truth that watched pots never boil. Perhaps if we remember that truth, we'll just go for a walk instead of watching those dumb pots.

Welcome my new cap. Check her out!

XO
Emily
