I Didn't Want Polka Dots
I didn’t want polka dots
I tried to send them back
Returned to sender with a note
“I DON’T WANT THAT”
Carrots, Parsnips, Radishes
Were what I was expecting
For years I didn’t understand
And struggled with rejecting
But into the dirt I went
Digging, Working, Weeding
And then started to recognize
The fruit I grew was needed
Polka dots grow on my trees
Not apples plums or pears
A quite special blend of never-before-seen
I LOVE what’s growing here
Highest quality and freshness guaranteed! May's tee (AND TOTE!) are so darling.
A super high quality blank tee (wait till you feel the cotton) with matched stripes across the side seams (love amazing details that remind us we're worth amazing details).
And a tote! In warmer months, I am often in need of a washable, wad-able tote for picnics, bike rides and trips to the grocery or pool.
My locally grown dots are the wonderful, amazing fruit of my life that I 100% did not recognize as anything other than me being different. And different feels wrong.
This art celebrates that YOOHOO I'm thrilled with ME, in all of my interesting-new-food-group-splendor.
And I hope when you wear or carry this art, you are reminded that the ways you are unique should be cherished.
Sarah is in the XL, I am in the S. I recommend one size up for a relaxed fit, or pick your size if you want it fitted.
Happy Shopping!
XO
Emily
