I got a quick second to start tinkering with my belt bag this past week. The gingham is just a scrap of fabric in the shape I would like the belt to be.
I started designing a belt bag last year, but for a few reasons, the project stalled.
Jackie, the woman who manufactures our stunning Bangladesh handwoven fabrics, has been manufacturing in Bangladesh for 20 years. Turns out it's a passion of hers to connect designers with fair trade manufacturing. It was a matter of weeks between designing this Bangladeshi leather bag and holding the sample in my hands.
I have so much more to say about this bag. I'm not sure if it will become a reality this year or not, but I'll share the excitement of the process with you regardless of when she's available.
