The fiery furnace of the flaming dumpster...

I’m 10 years into building my business and looking around, I see that the parts of it I love have been forged in the fiery furnace of the flaming dumpster.

I wish my business had been steady growth from the beginning, without the bumps and delays. But because of them, I feel that what I’m building is bigger than me.

Fabric Poufs on a Bangladesh Skirt

*here is the finished skirt. I take what was meant for the garbage can and make it beautiful! I respect this handwoven fabric by treasuring even the scraps, making them into sweet little pom poms.*

A zero waste life means respecting the parts of your story that you hate. Coming to see the lowest moments in a new light. I think that’s the way to create something BIGGER than just yourself.

****These musings brought to you by ZERO WASTE WEEK, an opportunity to showcase my process for making skirts zero waste. (Buy any Bangladesh skirt and add zero waste poufs for free, by using the code POUFS)****
